History of our real estate agency
ICARE IMMOBILIER is an independent real estate agency located in Alsace, in the heart of the Haut-Rhin, founded by Ulysse ROMBAUX, a graduate of ESCP Business School and former financial markets professional in Paris.
After several years in stock and currency trading, he returned to Alsace in 2022 to devote himself to real estate, his lifelong passion. With his own investment projects – ranging from acquisition to complete renovation to rental – he created ICARE IMMOBILIER to offer a structured, strategic and profoundly human service, up to the expectations of demanding sellers and buyers.

Ulysse has carried out numerous projects on his own account, which gives him a complete vision of the issues: financial, technical, fiscal and operational. This dual experience — investor and agent — gave rise to the ICARE method:

Foundation of SELECT IMMO: Alain ROMBAUX founds SELECT IMMO with the mission of giving new life to atypical and abandoned buildings: industrial wastelands, barracks, hotels, schools...
1999 - 2019
Emblematic achievements in Alsace: Rehabilitation of the Guebwiller Post Office into housing, Conversion of the 6,000 m² Elsass Club Hotel in Bollwiller into 80 housing units, Rehabilitation of the Drouot barracks in Mulhouse (200 housing units and 100 garages), Requalification of the Gast spinning mill into a leisure centre...
2019
National expansion of SELECT IMMO: The group transfers its headquarters to Paris and initiates projects for mixed residences and embarks on the conversion of the former gendarmerie school in Châtellerault. A graduate of ESCP Paris, Ulysse joined the group, led the commercial strategy and developed his own operations in Alsace (land, buildings, premises, renovation).
2022
Creation of ICARE IMMOBILIER in Paris: Ulysse founds ICARE IMMOBILIER, an independent agency specialising in strategic projects with high potential: valuation, valuation, works, sales.
2024
ICARE IMMOBILIER moves to the Château d'Issenheim: The agency's offices open at 9 rue de Cernay in Issenheim, within the family Castle, a symbol of continuity, long-term vision and strong regional roots
